                Gobi Desert and Tsenkher Hot springs Tour 


Day 1. Tsagaan Suvarga or White stupa

Before heading out we will stop by a supermarket for supplies. We will have lunch on the way around 12-1pm.

Tsagaan suvarga is a seabed (60m high 400m wide) made of colorful limestone rocks in Ulziit sum, a local administration unit of Middle Gobi province. It is shaped uniquely because of natural erosion caused by water and wind. They named it White Stupa as from the east, the unique shape of the limestone rocks looked alike Buddhist white stupas. We will walk around this area for an hour or two. We’ll stay overnight in ger.



Day 2. Yol Valley and Three beauties of Gobi

Yol , named after a vulture , is a deep and narrow gorge  in the sub range of the famous mountain "The three beauties of Gobi". Short trekking through the gorge. The valley is beautiful with impressive canyons, green land and little pond. Wild and rare animals such as ibex, wild sheep, fox , antelopes,  snow leopards are seen sometimes. Horse-riding is optional as well. Overnight in a ger 


Day 3 . Khongor sand dunes


Today we will enjoy some travel activities of Gobi desert.
After breakfast, we will drive towards Khongor sand dunes that extend along the northern side of Sevrei and Zoolun mountain ranges. 
After lunch, we will ride camel. The two-humped camels are very comfortable to ride, as they walk slowly and gently and we will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Our camel man will take us around the sand-dunes. 
After dinner time, we will explore the area, climbing one of the dunes. The dunes extend for 185 kilometers and include dunes that can reach 240 meters in height. Overnight in a ger.



Day 4.  Bayanzag or Flaming Cliffs

Drive to Flaming Cliffs which is a Neolithic site where the large dinosaurs' skeletons on show in  Natural History Museum were found. In the west, it is better known as the Flaming Cliffs so named explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. He also discovered petrified forests, remains of mammals and in particular the skeleton of hornless rhinoceros, the largest known mammal in the world. Short trekking in Bayanzag. Overnight in a ger.




Day 5. Ruins of Ongi Monastery/ Ongi river/ and nomad family

Barlim Monastery is located on the north bank of the river while the Khutagt Monastery sits on the south bank. The older southern complex consisted of various administrative buildings as well as 11 temples. The northern complex, built in the 18th century, consisted of 17 temples - among them one of the largest temples in all of Mongolia. The grounds housed also 4 Buddhist universities. Founded in 1660, it was one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and housed over 1000 monks at its height. ​


Day 6. Orkhon Valley and Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall

Drive to Orkhon valley. Orkhon valley is a historically significant place whose river  flows an incredible 1120km before it joins to Selenge river. The valley is famous for its Red waterfall.  Ulaantsutgalan or Red waterfall was formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20000  years ago.. Trekking to the waterfall. Stay in a ger  nearby the waterfall. 



Day 7-8.  Start horseback  riding tour.


This morning we will start our horseback riding tour. After having breakfast, we will pack our staff on luggage horse  and ride to another nomad family. We highly recommend this area for our customers who want to experience adventurous horseback riding. It is a family to family trip on horse. All meals included (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Also you can try Mongolian traditional dairy product at the local  families. You are able to see  daily life of a real nomadic family.

Day 9. Tuvkhun Monastery / will stay in tent 

Tuvkhun Monastery was built on a Mountain for meditation purpose. The panoramic view of the surrounding area from the temple is breath-taking.
Hiking to the mountain 5 km. Overnight in a tent.





Day 10. Hot spring (Hot spa)

The sulphur springs of Tsenkher  emerge from the ground at 86C. The hot spring is especially good for skin allergy.We will relax in Hot spa for the whole day. It is a good treatment after a long horse-riding trip. Overnight in a ger camp





Day 11.  The Kharkhorin city ,  ancient capital of Mongolia will stay in Khugnu Khaan National Reserve

Kharkhorin was built in 1235  by Ogodei Khaan , who was successor of Chingis Khaan. The foundations of Kharkhorin’s buildings are all underground and Erdene-Zuu Monastery was built near the ruins of ancient capital in 1586. We will visit  Erdenezuu monastery which contains valuable items that represent the Buddhist culture of Mongolia. overnight in a ger.


Day 12. Driving back to UB.

Accommodation: nomadic family ger, tourist camp, camping (tent)

Meal: B+L+D vegetarian food is available on your request.

Transportation: Russian van, jeep, others
