Day1. The Kharkhorin city , ancient capital of Mongolia
Kharkhorin was built in 1235 by Ogodei Khaan , who was successor of Chingis Khaan. The foundations of Kharkhorin’s buildings are all underground and Erdene-Zuu Monastery was built near ruins of ancient capital in 1535. We will visit the Erdenezuu monastery which contains valuable items that represents the Buddhist culture in Mongolia. overnight in a ger camp
Day2. Orkhon Valley and Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall
We will visit Uurt gorge, Orkhon river, and the Red waterfall in Orkhon valley.
The red waterfall is situated in historically significant Orkhon valley, whose river flows an incredible 1120 km to the north before it joins the Selenge river. Also called Ulaantsutgalan, the waterfall was formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20000 years ago. Overnight in a ger nearby a waterfall
Day 3. Start horseback riding tour.
For a whole day you will ride horse around waterfall and Orkhon valley.
Day 4. Semi- Gobi overnight at a nomadic family
Drive to Semi-Gobi. Imagine a picture that consists of rocky mountains in the back, sand dunes extending on the right sand of the dunes, green trees in and aside the dunes, a river flowing along the dunes. That is what Semi-Gobi looks like. Relax in Semi-Gobi. Trekking to the mountains. Camel riding.
Day5. After lunch drive back to UB.
Accommodation: nomadic family ger, tourist camp, camping
Meal:BLD if you are a vegetarian we will arrange vegetarian food, and or if you want eat Mongolian food (with meat) it is also possible.
